The telephone number 0141 888 9029 was reported on the 5th of October 2020 as in use by scammers attempting to imitate HMRC. They were using this number, which is a Glasgow number, to inform UK residents that they are due a refund.
They then try to trick them into providing their personal and bank details, which in turn are used for the purposes of fraud. Do not answer any calls from this number. If you have already answered the phone to this number then hang up.
