This attempt using the telephone number 07554393303 is one of the most confused phishing attempts we have come across so far. In the message we see the recipient told ‘HSBC: a new payment was attempted from a new device.’ In the accompanying link we see a website beginning: Natwest.Payments. If you do receive this text, do not worry HSBC members. Not only does this message not signify a payment has been taken from your account, but not even from your bank.
@HSBC_UK Hey team, I don’t bank with you but you may want to add this to your list of #fraudscams #phishing #scams pic.twitter.com/wjFfzcDO6Z

What should I do if I receive a message from 07544 393303?
Whether you use HSBC or NatWest as your bank account you should avoid any interaction with this message other than to take a screenshot. You can then report using the email: phishing@hsbc.co.uk
