The MECC Trust Retrofit cafe are a group for residents of Balsall Heath in Birmingham meeting every 2nd and fourth Thursday of every month between 2 and 3pm. People can attend this group to get information about applying for Energy Efficiency Grants.
Energy Efficiency Grants are made out a 7 million pot provided by the UK central Government for residents of older houses to save money on their energy bills by improving their internal and external insulation. Each successful applicant will receive £10,000 to be spent on insulating windows and doors.
As a community group that advocates for residents of Balsall Heath in Birmingham, the MECC Trust are providing free information and advice to residents of B12 and B5 on how they can apply for an Energy Efficiency Grant.
