This telephone number was brought to our attention by a Twitter user who correctly identified it as a phishing scam. It targets PayPal users and comes with a warning that there has been unusual activity on a PayPal account.
@AskPayPal just got a text on a UK mobile with as follows,
“PayPal:We have detected unusual activity on your account. Please follow the link to confirm your information https://t.co/kGEVrDDrq3” it came from +447947830034 , looks like a phishing text message.— steveuk260 (@steveuk260) September 15, 2020
Please do not interact with any texts from the number 07947830034. If you click on the link you will be taken to a malicious website that mimics the PayPal site. If you put your login details into this site you will be at great risk of fraud. Delete this message and do not interact.
