The telephone number 07943308112 is being used as part of a smishing campaign in which scammers pretend to represent HMRC. They use this number to send a text message to potential victims informing them that they are due a tax rebate.
The message also includes a link to a malicious website designed to steal your banking and personal details for the purposes of fraud. The website is texrex-hmrc.com
Be very careful not to click on the link to this website. Instead you should take a screenshot and then delete and block the number. You can report the scam message to HMRC on HMRC@phishing.co.uk
