The telephone number 0207 746 3295 is associated with a HMRC telephone scam. The callers falsely suggest recipients are in the process of being investigated for tax fraud. They then encourage the receiver of the call to press 1 or the case will immediately be issued with a court summons.

We suspect that the reason callers are being encouraged to press 1 is that this will connect them to a premium rate ’09’ telephone number. Calls to this number will then be charged at least £3.50 per minute.

It is important that anyone who receives a call from 0207 746 3295 does not answer. If you have already answered then we suggest you put the phone down immediately. The most important thing is that you do not interact with any of the automated options provided during a call from this number.

What should I do if I receive a phone call from 0207 746 3295?

This is a dangerous number and you should not answer. But if you have been scammed by this number already you can report to Action Fraud.
