The mobile telephone number 0385317327 was provided by Mark Harding as the phone number of Tony Tucker one of the victims of the Rettendon murders. This number was given in a police statement by Mark Harding on the 9th December, 1995.
Mark Harding was employed at LT Carpets limited at their site on 198 Timberlog Lane, Basildon. This carpet shop was visited by Tucker, Tate and Rolf on the night of 29th November, 1995 as Tucker wanted to make an order for a carpet fitting. The was visited again on the 6th December 1995 to pay off a £700 balance. This proved to be the night of their deaths. In fact it was a phone call to the number 0385317327 that summoned them to the country lane in Rettendon Essex where they were murdered.
The number 0385317327 was also confirmed by Anne Marie Whitehead as the mobile phone number of Tony Tucker. She met Tony Tucker on the 6th of December 1995. In her interview on the 7th, the day after the murders, she was interviewed by police. In her interview she confirmed that Tony Tucker was carrying a Nokia mobile phone and that the number of the phone was 0385317327.
