Post Office Current Accounts
The Post Office offer two main current accounts: the Standard Account and the Control Account. The main differences between the two are that with the Control account customers aren’t given a cheque book and can’t make contactless payments with their cards. Also the Post Office Control account is more limited in that customers are not able to apply for an overdraft. The Post Office offer a helpline for customers interested in applying for a credit card. The most popular Post Office Credit cards on offer at the moment are the Platinum Card and the Matched Card, with the Platinum Card being more suitable for customers who use their credit cards whilst abroad.
