Paying your Corporation tax online
The most convenient way to pay your tax is via the pay your tax page on the HMRC website. Before you pay you should have been given a payment reference number by your accountant. When you scroll through the pages of the website you will be invited to input which type of tax you wish to pay and also to enter your unique taxpayer number. You will then be direted to page managed by your bank account to authorise the payment.
Paying by phone – UTR
Calls to number will connect you with with the HMRC Corporation Tax helpline, after being asked to complete a survey you will be guided to some automated option. To make a payment you will need to have your UTR number and your unique payment reference to hand. If you don’t have your UTR to hand then you will need to press 1 so you can track it down. If you do have both your UTR and unique payment reference then press option 2.
