Have you recently had a telephone conversation with the Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service (CAFCASS). If so you may have been ordered to attend a Relationship Support meeting on Zoom. These sessions are designed to help parents to help parents to keep in mind the best interests of their children while navigating divorce or separation.
The Relationship Support Team at Family Action do online Family counselling for couples going through separation. Sessions are mandatory for those that have been through a CAFCASS referral after a C100 application. CAFCASS meet with the parents individually and will then typically ask them to do a planning together for children online course. After completing this the parents will seperately attend a group meeting regarding how to develop a healthy co-parenting relationship.
This is called the Planning Together for Children group workshop. This workshop entails meeting with other separated parents to discuss ways to manage your new parenting circumstances, and how to reduce conflict with your former wife/partner.
If there are any issues that you would like to discuss before your session then you can contact the team on 020 7241 7456.
