The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre on Leeson Street operate a 24/7 freephone telephone line for victims of sexual assault to seek support. If in Ireland the number is 1800 77 8888.

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre were formed in response to a growing number of cases of rape, sexual assault and harassment. They have now been operating for over 4 decades.

The telephone line is open to men and women who have been a victim of sexual assault or rape at any time in their life. For example victims can phone this number if they would like to seek counselling. If you know someone who has been a victim of this crime recently you should encourage them to report it and pass them on the number: 1800 77 8888.

DRCC offer counselling services for adults victims, they also have a limited service for children between the age of 16 and 18. If you would like to enrol on a course of counselling to help deal with the trauma of a rape or sexual assault then phone Dublin Rape Crisis Centre on 1800 77 8888. Volunteers do not require any formal qualifications and are not required to have relevant experience. A member of staff will be able to guide you through the application process. If offered a position DRCC provide full training and a mentor to help settle in.
