Dal Group History
What is now Dal Group was originally founded by a British company called Sayer and Colley in 1951 and the built up the company under franchise of Caterpillar. In 1966, 10 years after Sudan had gained independence, the franchise was transferred to Sudanese Tractor Company (SUTRAC).
DAL Group are a Sudanese conglomerate with interests in food and drink distribution, dairy products, food production and farming. They also have a hand in the car industry with a car manufacturing plant and several car maintenance plants across the country.
In recent years the DAL Group have also focused on attracting investment to and improving infrastructure in Sudan.
