The telephone number 415-795-2933 has been reported for sending batches of wrong name scam texts to unwitting recipients in the USA and further afield. The message from this number, which may also appear as +1 (415) 795-2933, actually includes Chinese characters, which makes it harder for people to identify that it is a scam number.
The scam text includes the following nonsense message in Chinese characters:
Hello，是宠物店的sunny? 我是朋友推荐来买几只猫咪的。麻烦问一下，咖啡和浙层你那里有没有。
Amusingly this translates as:
Are you Sunny from the petshop? A friend recommended your shop to me as a place where I can buy cats? Do you have Garfield and Gradient?
Needless to say if you receive a text message from 415-795-2933 you should not respond. Delete the message and block the number.
