The telephone number 0141 306 9624 is being used as part of a HMRC tax scam. Do not answer calls from this number.
On the 2nd December 2020 a Twitter user reported being threatened with arrest unless they pressed one on their touch pad. Of course this was not HMRC, it was scammers trying desperately to get the potential victim to press 1 so they would connect to a premium rate phone line. If you are unfortunate enough to be called by the number 0141 306 9624 then do not answer the phone. If you have already answered the phone to this number then put the phone down immediately.

Claimed to be from @HMRCcustomers. Stated I’d be arrested for tax fraud if I didn’t press one.
Obviously a scam. Be aware.
