The telephone number 0203 643 2002 is being used as part of a dangerous HMRC scam targeting UK residents. This number was reported on Twitter by Dr. Hannah Quirk. She was threatened with arrest unless she pressed 1.
Fortunately she did not do this because this would haven connected her to a premium rate phone line which would have led to extremely expensive charges on her phone bill.
Do not answer any calls from the number 0203 643 2002. if you have already answered the phone to this number then hang up immediately as this number is being used as part of a scam.
Scam warning: I’ve just received a call from 02036432002 purporting to be from @HMRCcustomers. Professional sounding voice stating if I didn’t press 1, a warrant would be issued & I would be arrested immediately (!) Slightly creepy as I have been in touch with HMRC this week
